A summer of fun and music is planned as the Greenhills summer concert series begins Wednesday, June 16.

This is the 13th year the village has presented the concerts.

The opening act for the Concerts on the Commons will be Ricky Nye Inc. The evening also will have the greyhound adoption organization.

The Hot Six jazz group will perform June 23.

All concerts are free, on Wednesday nights and from 7-9 p.m. Those enjoying the shows should bring their own lawn chairs.

July's concerts will feature Sound Body Orchestra July 7, and the Miami University Steel Drum Band along with clowns and the greyhound adoption group July 14.

The University of Cincinnati Concert Band will take the stage July 28.

On Aug. 4, the concert opens with The King Elvis followed by Dangerous Jim and the Slims.

Also in August, Corky's Old Time Rock and Roll will perform Aug. 11, and Zumba will return Aug. 18 to finish their rain-out concert from last year.

The American Legion Post 530 Concert Band again will perform for the last concert in the series Sept. 1.

The concerts are presented by the village's Community Improvement Corporation with help from area sponsors.
