Welcome to Greenhills Skate Park thread which is dedicated to the skate community here in Greenhills. Junedale.com will be the official website that will host all things Greenhills Skate Park ( GSP).

Today is a significant day as we had some of the top street skaters in the US in town and looking over the development. Joe Castucci founder of Habitat has been advising the construction of the park. Joe is a local product of Cincinnati and travels the world filming the Habitat Skate Team while creating and developing skate lines.

Measuring the space between boxes is critical to the flow of the pad.

The boxes are forms for the concrete to be poured into. Once they have hardened they provide several different challenges for the skater to master..

From Left to Right:

Elliott, Guru Khalsa, Silas Baxter-Neal, Stefan Janoski, Jordan

Before departing to Barcelona Stefan and company presented Jordan and Elliott with signed gear from Habitat. These guys are very cordial and made these kids feel very special today.

It appears that the Grand Opening will happen during the May Fest celebration on Saturday May 29th.

A few items currently being worked on:

- Top Region Talent for Demos
- A Pro for gear signings
- Vendor for skate related gear

Sign design and creation, bench selection, and a recyling can are a few items that will come from the fundraising budget.

Other areas of discussion:

Promotions:

- Old Skool Skate Off: Uncle- Get the board ready
- "Rock the Park"- Where music meets street skating

Stay tuned..

Uncle you asked if it was done yet in the other thread. Well it is almost done. Still have to let the concrete cure, plus get a sign, plus lay the black top around a small part of it. It's almost done though.

What a beautiful day! I have some updated photos of the GSP, it appears that there is still some fill-in work that needs to be done to transition from concrete to asphalt. This first picture is the top of the run heading east.
